Rihanna Fails Pt. II
This is actually a really really really good song. It is extremely well written. So calling this post Rihanna Fails Pt. II is probably not completely accurate nor fair - But wait.
When you are a big hit rnb-pop princess like Rihanna who’s last album really made you a superstar because of it’s rompy-pop tunes, it is probably not a fantastic idea to make the first single for you next album and your big ‘self-procalimed the wait is ova’ comeback an overdramatic pop ballad that starts with a really misplaced and terribly played guitar riff. Just sayin’…
The song is quite good. But a terrible choice choice after you put a countdown on your website for two days that said ‘the wait is ova’… tick tock tick tock… no… when the song was ‘released’ Rihanna dear, the wait was not ‘ova‘… and not just because I wasn’t even waiting… but because you deceived everybody.
PS fantastic job with the title, it isn’t Poker Face of you at all… Not that you can’t go into the card playing territory too, but it may be a tad wee wee bit too soon. Just sayin’ again.
So… Congrats! You have a fantastic new song that really shows off a new side of you, but you fail because you picked a horrible moment in time to release it.
Oh and darling, that gunshot at the end is super tacky. Just sayin’ thrice.
